WHY DESIGN AND BUILD?

PHASE 1: ASSESS LIFESTYLE AND BUDGET

We feel it is important to take time on the front end of each project to gather critical lifestyle information and ask the right questions so that we can provide potential clients with accurate and realistic timeframes, estimates, and budgets. This process involves filling out a lifestyle survey, questionnaire, and meeting with our design team. We also encourage potential clients to use this time to interview and equally assess if we would be a good fit for your project. This process is critical for establishing healthy workflow, boundaries, and trust moving forward.

PHASES 2: DESIGN + PLANNING

If we are given the opportunity, clients will start the initial phases of design where we will dive deeper into space planning and layouts. Additionally, we will be working with lot specifications to blend the home and surrounding environment seamlessly. Our lead designer will collaborate with clients giving input and suggestions that are budget-focused. Once there is a strong design plan that can be approved by the client and designer, we will begin discussing interior design elements and custom features.

PHASE 3 INTERIOR DESIGN

Clients will be paired with one of our talented interior designers to begin the process of selecting finish materials. Our designers will offer their expertise to help clients in selecting appropriate materials that are within their budget and preferred style. Once clients sign-off on final selections, our designers will carry out the responsibility of ordering products, filling out the specification sheets, and communicating on-site installation details with our project manager.

PHASE 4: CONSTRUCTION

Our project manager will schedule and ensure our trusted subcontractors to execute the details of the home design to our standard of excellence. The timing of construction depends on a variety of factors such as site conditions, available labor, client selections, and are subject to change. Changes in schedules will be communicated to clients by our project manager in a timely manner. Prior to moving in, clients will be invited to a Final Client Walk Through where any punch list items can be addressed and resolved before move in. For remodels, we require that homeowners have an alternative place to stay during construction.

PHASE 5: MOVE IN

Upon the completion of your new custom home build, we will hand over the keys and welcome you into your new space.
